Heintz double wall Sterling Silver overlay on Bronze bowl from the Arts and Crafts era, roughly around 1912. The floral motif on the bowl is applied by a technique developed by Heintz. This model is marked with “Sterling” imprinted on the floral accent but has no other markings, indicating this is likely an early production from the Buffalo, NY metals shop. The patina on this bowl is uneven with obvious oxidation on the interior basin.
